Surly says farewell to growlers with a new beer

Surly Brewing

(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Quick afternoon update: Surly Brewing has made a Double IPA as part of the end to its successful growler program, to take place during the last week of December. Minnesota law prevents Surly from continuing growler fills next year because its business has grown over a set threshold (3,500 barrels – yes, a major bummer and makes me shake my head at state liquor laws once again). Surly brewed 30 bbls of what appears to be their first-ever double IPA.

There was a lot more info related to other things (like Wisconsin tap distro) in the newsletter they just sent out than what they published on the site. To sign up, visit the Surly website.
