New Smuttynose Big Beer arrives in January

(Portsmouth, NH) – Smuttynose Brewing is set to release a new beer in its Big Beer Series in 2009: a Belgian-style Quadrupel called

Smuttynose Gravitation

in early January according to the Smuttynose blog. It marks the second Belgian-style beer in the collection with the Farmhouse Ale being the first. All of the Big Beers are featured on the brewery website though no information is up on this one yet and it still looks like they are selling subscriptions to buy a case of each beer in the series in 2009.

Side note: the brewery is featured in a video on the History Channel website (but I can’t seem to get it to load on my slow connection).

(Boston, MA) - This week, Boston Beer Co.'s the winners of last year's Samuel Adams LongShot American Homebrew Contest finally saw their beers hit shelves. Southern Tier to release Mokah, a Jahva-Choklat hybrid

[5/12 Update: Was released late April/early May depending on location] (Lakewood, NY) - Southern Tier Brewing has played mad scientist with two well-respected beers in its arsenal to form the latest release in the Blackwater Series.
