Great Divide brews two more beers in ‘09
(Denver, CO) – Great Divide Brewing will add at least two more beers this year though it is still unknown whether these will be year-round additions.
Great Divide Espresso Oak Aged Yeti
infuses coffee into its top 100-ranked Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. The result is a stout that the brewery is billing as a breakfast beer.
The Espresso Oak Aged Yeti appears to have made its way around some test markets late last winter: in Philadelphia during Philly Craft Beer Week, at Max’s in Baltimore, at the Brick Store in Georgia, at the Sunset grill in Boston, and most recently right at Great Divide’s Tap Room. 4.42 average so far on Beer Advocate. As of right now, it will be released in 22 oz. bomber format.
The other beer doesn’t looks like it may be brand new.
Great Divide Claymore Scotch Ale
, named after a Scottish sword (Wikipedia), is a Wee Heavy that will be released in 6-packs.
Last year’s Whiskey-Aged beers got label approval several months in advance so release date is very much up in the air for these. If you know more about either brew, post up a comment.

Espresso Yeti is a wonderful beer. I think it gives Breakfast Stout and Peche Mortel a run for best coffee imperial stout. Can’t wait for this one.

Espresso Yeti is the best coffee imperial stout I’ve had (and I have had Breakfast Stout and Péché Mortel).

I think I’d rather have regular Espresso Yeti over Espresso Oak Aged Yeti. Will be trying it with high hopes either way.
