I went to this movie because I am interested in craft beers and invested in a local micro brewery. I had really grown to hate beer as made by the big three and soon was in love with beer again and drinking it whenever I was at SchillingBridge. The one constant in criticism of this movie is from distributors. And they are the problem, I compare it to payola in the old record industry. Supposedly they are "distributing" all the brands. In essence they are insuring that the big three maintain their position on the shelves and encourage the dulling of tastebuds by these beers. No one can make me eat Wonderbread or McDonalds or drink Budweiser. I'll drink water in preference to the big three, or two now. But it is all about politics too and I am sure the distributors don't want to hear about that. I loved this movie. I have worked on documentaries, good ones and this is a good one.

Man, I'm excited about this. My theater's website isn't working right now, but I'm buying my tickets as soon as it starts working.

I don't think this will be a sideway's-esque film for beer because the documentary nature and one night showing makes it much more niche. Nonetheless it looks informational and passionate so I'll be there in April. ;)

It is strange that they got Ben Stein to do a live showing of the movie. When I think of Ben Stein I don't think of beer. It would not have been my first choice. I am not a fan of "Expelled" but it won't keep from enjoying the live discussion. As a craft beer fan I can't wait to check out this film.
