L’ange Tombe Saison: a new project from De Proef Brewery and Julios
(Westborough, MA) – The following was sent to me from Joe Santos of Julio’s Liquors, one of the top-rated beer stores in the country: “[With the help of SBS Imports and De Proef Brewery], we created this beer to celebrate 35 years of being in business. We have wanted to do a Belgian Ale for a long time and have finally made it happen. We have about 3,000 bottles coming in as well as some kegs that will be on draught at The Armsby Abbey in Worcester Mass.
L’ Ange Tombe (The Fallen Angel)
Saison Noir (Black Saison)
3,000 bottles, 750ml Caged and Corked
This Black Saison is a medium-bodied ale with a deep amber color and off-white head. The hops provide a pleasing spiciness, while the malt and yeast create subtle notes of anise and cocoa.”
