O’Fallon ups the ante on its Cream Stout
(O’Fallon, MO) – According to The Wine and Cheese Place’s Paul Hayden,
O’Fallon Chocolate by the Barrel Cream Stout
“is a bourbon barrel aged version of their Cocoa Cream Stout that is draft only here in St. Louis. [...] I am told by the owner of O’Fallon Brewery [Tony Caradonna] that it should be bottled and released in 2-3 weeks. They are expecting to get about 80 cases (12/22oz) out of the barrel.”
Here are the stats on the beer being aged from the brewery’s website:
Style: Cream Stout Alcohol: 5.5% ABV Bitterness: 26.5 IBUs Color: 56.5 SRM Grain: Pale, Carafa II, Caramel 90L, Caramel 20L, Flaked Barley, Roasted Barley, Carapils, Black, (Lactose Sugar, Maltodextrin) Hops: Cluster, German Hallertau, Mittlefruh
