Boston Beer Co. to release Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection
(Boston, MA) – No timing details yet but Boston Beer Company is poised to step up its game again with a new collection of beers geared toward the savvy beer drinker. The largest independent U.S. brewery released the Imperial Series in 22 oz. bombers (force-of-habit- these come in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles) beginning last February. Now, the brewery will release three beers in 750 mL champagne bottles as part of a new series dubbed the “Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection.”
Each beer shares the common characteristic of having been aged in oak barrels. First, let’s look at Samuel Adams American Kriek, a beer aged on “sweet yet tart” Balaton cherries. According to the Michigan State University Department of Horticulture, “this dark-skinned European morello-type cherry was first introduced into the United States in 1984 by Dr. Amy Iezzoni, Professor of Horticulture at MSU [...] The Balaton® cherry has a dark burgundy color throughout with a robust sweet-tart taste.” 7% ABV.
Samuel Adams New World Tripel sports a green label which reads, “golden in color with notes of spice and tropical fruit.” The ABV on this one is much higher at 10%. Then there’s Samuel Adams Stony Brook Red: “Belgian style with a hint of tart fruit and toasted oak character.” 9% ABV. There is both a square and a reservation named “Stony Brook” in Boston’s southside-area known as Jamaica Plain where the brewery is located.
With the Beer Advocate Belgian Beer Fest right around the corner on October 16th-17th and taking place in BBC’s backyard, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an announcement made around that time or if these are on-hand for sampling.

I’ve never seen an Imperial Stout, Imperial White, or Double Bock available in anything but four packs of 12 oz bottles. Where are the bombers?

Had the Kreik @ Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 09. Fluffy white head with a nice tartness that wasn’t overpowering. Lets hope its not mucho deniro…

Por lo que se ve, Diego Genoud también. Qué ignorante, por favor. Si vamos a criticar la política, critiquémosla desde el llano, macho. No nos hagamos los que sabemos. No tenés ni idea sobre Schmitt, Genoud. Ni la más pálida idea. Y la nota es delirante además, por lo que dice Tomás.

Iba a escribir un post, pero no vale la pena, lo digo acá:
¿Qué le agrega este artículo a la demasiado mentada idea de que el kirchnerismo sostiene la lógica política schmitteana de amigo-enemigo?
El nazismo del teórico. Y -ahí el chistecito- el carácter transitivo del nazismo a “sus seguidores”.
Desastrosamente, por cierto.
Digamos que, tanto para una nota periodística como para un post en un blog, lo primero que hay que hacer es simplificar: afirmemos, entonces, que el planteo de Schmitt es, nada más, que la política se construye en términos de amigo-enemigo. Eso es todo lo que hay.
Ahí hay un problema: ¿eso fue el nazismo? Bueno, sí, hay un enemigo visible. Pero hay un pequeño elemento que se está olvidando: el nazismo es la superación de Schmitt en términos de que el enemigo no es un enemigo político, ni siquiera bélico: es un enemigo racial. Ahí está toda la tragedia: si el enemigo es la raza, si es biológico, entonces no hay política. ¿Eso es el kirchnerismo?
No hace falta mucho esfuerzo para decir que no. Digo, ¿no se critíca al kirchnerismo sus políticas incoherentes de alianzas?, ¿podría hacer el kirchnerismo alguna vez una concesión contra un “enemigo”, en términos nazis?, ¿no hay concesiones en el kirchnerismo?
Yo tenía entendido que sí. Que las críticas por izquierda eran esas: que los enemigos de ayer hoy son aliados, y viceversa. ¿Podría, el nazismo, haber renovado las licencias del canal del enemigo?, ¿no hay algún pequeño matiz entre, no sólo querer, sino estar convencido ideologica y biológicamente de que hay que exterminar al enemigo porque es objetivamente inferior, y quitar unas licencias a un medio para terminar con una posición dominante?
No sé si es necesario contestar una berretada. Sé que hay cosas que no se pueden dejar pasar. Banalizar el mal es un peligro.
