Rock Art Brewery issues final statement re: Vermonster vs. Monster Energy
(Morrisville, VT) – Rock Art Brewery issued its final statement regarding the incident with Hansen Beverage and Monster Energy Drink. No official comment could be located on the Hansen Beverage or Monster Energy Drink websites.
While I empathize with Matt’s wish for the trademark system to change, I don’t see any changes being made to trademark law soon. One of those broken things in our society that is protected with mounds of red tape. What Matt and his supporters achieved through the social media channels does, however, make for an incredible case study of how people can quickly come together to act as, perhaps, the best defense against trademark lawyers.

Good Statement. They need a spell checker. I doubt that this does anything for Trademark law, as you stated. I will likely never get to taste the Vermonster. Beer distribution laws and the three tiered system, now those are laws that Matt should get on board with. Any way he and his video startup company can make a viral pursuit of those ridiculous Cold War laws?
