(Stevens Point, WI) – The Stevens Point Brewery will release another beer in its Whole Hog Series on February 1. Whole Hog Russian Imperial Stout will be available for the first time in all of the brewery’s distribution markets (unless state law prohibits the beer because of its high ABV of 8.6%). A full press release will be sent out in January.

“The Whole Hog Limited Release Brewmaster’s Series allows us to explore adventurous big beers” said Joe Martino, Point Brewery Managing Partner, when things kicked off early this past summer. The series started off with Six-Hop IPA and Imperial Pilsner. The brewery later introduced Pumpkin Ale and this will be the fourth beer.

The label reads, “Inspired by the English brews exported to the Russian Imperial Court over 200 years ago this bold and luxurious Imperial Stout is handcrafted using roasted barley, Dark Roasted, Crystal, and 2-Row Pale Malts, balanced with Cluster and Cascade hops for the rich satisfying flavor.”
