Midnight Sun Brewing reveals upcoming beer list

Midnight Sun Pluto(Anchorage, AK) - Midnight Sun Brewing released a list of its upcoming beers recently. Here is the dish straight from the fingers of Brewery VP, Barb Miller (you can receive these newsletters as well by signing up at the website - linked above):

Pluto Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale

Flossmoor Station, Fifty Fifty, and Lucky Bucket to release Collaborative Evil

(Flossmoor, IL) - Former Small Brewpub champs, Flossmoor Station Brewery, let out some more details on its blog yesterday about the collaborative effort with Fifty Fifty and Lucky Bucket Brewing. The result will be a beer called Collaborative Evil, a “Belgian Dark Strong Ale made with Raisins, local honey, Mexican and Indian sugars, orange peel and black cardamom.” The release will be in late September or early October though a Saturday, October 4, date is currently the target.

Haandbryggeriet Norwegian Holiday Ale

Haandbryggeriet Nissefar Holiday Ale is just one of several new beers that Pennsylvania can expect to see hit the market later in the year. In fact, it is only one of three from the Scandanavian brewery, the others being Dobbel Dram, a double IPA, and Haandbakk, a sour ale. I just recently started tracking what is coming in to Pennsylvania and there are a few other brews of interest.

Rogue Deadliest Ale

Before we get into the notes, a quick update on Russian River Pliny the Elder hitting SoCal this weekend. Joey at South Bay Drugs is reporting about 30 bottles left. He ships, too, so consider giving him a call to place an order. It was also spotted at the Olive Tree Marketplace over the weekend. It is also on draft at Hamilton’s Tavern. Call around because it’s here! And now for the notes…


deschutes-the-dissident-site We now have more info on Deschutes the Dissident (press release pdf) which will be out September 1. The bugs have been working their magic for over 18 months helping to create this Oud Bruin-style beer. A portion of the beer aged in pinot and cabernet barrels for over three months and Washington cherries have been at work for a year. It is the second Reserve Series brew to hit the market in 2008. The first was Deschutes Black Butte XX which came out the last week of June.
