(Chicago, IL) - Archer Liquors posted a brief and somewhat mischievous (eh, I’ve done it, too) tidbit on its blog that they found out from a distributor that a California brewery will be coming to Illinois soon. The underlying link went to Stone Brewing’s website and the post got the attention of at least a few people at the boards, considering Stone is not yet available in the state. But Jim Ebel of Windy City Distribution Company says, “No such luck. Their plans are to assign a distributor in late 2009.” A person with Binny’s in Chicago also expressed doubt.

The link may have been a simple miscue that should have been aimed at the Port/The Lost Abbey website, considering Tomme Arthur recently revealed that his beers would be coming into Illinois at some point.
